When do you expect to reopen and resume programming?

All Chelsea Piers facilities are temporarily closed through April 30th. We will post updates here regarding re-opening plans.

Will you credit me for the time the gym is closed?

Rest assured, all members of our Connecticut club will be credited for their fitness membership dues for the dates of March 13 – 31, 2020 of which we were closed, and that were already pre-paid in your most recent membership payment.

Due to the uncertainty of the full duration of our closure, Chelsea Piers as an entire company needs to assess all requests for credits and adjustments after June 30th in order to accurately calculate the total credit or adjustment. That said, once Chelsea Piers is able to resume normal business activity, we hope to resolve all credits/adjustments within 30 – 45 days of opening.


You will not be charged at any point while we are closed, including monthly billing for membership. All memberships were immediately placed on an automatic freeze that will remain throughout our closure, free of charge. Members will receive notification prior to any scheduled billing after re-opening.

Will I be charged for scheduled appointments or any services I had coming up?

You will not be charged at any point while we are closed. All regular payments are paused and all future appointments are cancelled. Any credits on your account will not change and will be available to use when we reopen. We will extend all expiration dates on packages as well.

Will you offer online workouts while you are closed?

We are offering daily live work out classes along with tips for staying healthy and active on our Chelsea Piers Connecticut and Chelsea Piers Fitness Instagram and on Zoom. Please visit our live class schedule for times.

Chelsea Piers Members also have 3 months COMPLIMENTARY access to On Demand and Live Streaming fitness classes thanks to a partnership with MyVictory, a digital exercise and community platform. As you know, the temporary closure we initially announced is from March 13 - 31, 2020. The temporary closure was extended through April 23rd due to Governor Ned Lamont's mandate to close non-essential businesses. To support our employees, we issued an additional payroll check covering two weeks of standard pay and are also covering 100% of health care insurance costs throughout the closure for those enrolled. In addition, we initiated an employee support effort to help our staff manage through this difficult time.


All memberships were immediately placed on an automatic freeze that will remain throughout our closure, free of charge.

I paid in full for the year. Will you extend my membership?

If your membership was paid in full we will be extending your membership term so no time is lost due to this circumstance.

What if I want to Cancel my membership during the closure?

We will not be processing cancellations while our facilities are closed and our staff is off-site. All monthly billing will stop while we are shutdown. All memberships were immediately placed on an automatic freeze that will remain throughout our closure, free of charge.

Are you still accepting Summer Camp registrations?

Yes, we are accepting Summer Camp inquiries and registrations and look forward to welcoming our campers back! Summer Camps begin June 15. Register by April 30th and receive Early Bird Savings. Who can I contact for updates regarding booking a private or corporate event?

Chelsea Pier team members are available by email and phone to discuss your special events needs. For events that will take place in the next thirty (30) days, please contact your sales contact. To book a future event, email events@chelseapiersct.com for Chelsea Piers Connecticut events.

What is your notification policy should a Chelsea Piers customer, member or employee report to you that they have tested positive for COVID-19?

First and foremost, we sincerely hope that our valued Chelsea Piers community stays safe and healthy during this challenging time. Given the very rapid spread of COVID-19, it is not surprising that we have received a few reports from members of our community about their development of coronavirus infection or contact with others who have tested positive for this pandemic infection.

As of today, the sports & fitness businesses at Chelsea Piers have been closed for a full two weeks — equivalent to the incubation period for COVID-19. Based on guidance from the NY Department of Health, notifications are no longer needed going forward as any new positive cases were not likely a result of direct contact while at one of the sports or fitness venues at Chelsea Piers.
