The Girls Leadership Soccer Camp is led by Chelsea Piers Soccer Director Jon Ruddock. The staff is comprised of local prominent High School and Club coaches, as well as former collegiate and professional players.

Our coaches run on-field sessions and enforce the leadership curriculum, as well as run small group sessions and team building workshops. The objective of each on-field instruction is to create a highly competitive training environment to get the most out of each athlete. It focuses on the demands both technically and tactically of the highest level field players. It challenges all young players and provides them with the skills to be highly effective players on their respective teams. Drills/sessions are aimed at getting individuals to play successfully in any setting.

8:00am - 4:00pm Monday - Thursday
8:00am - 12:30pm Friday
Drop-off: 7:45am - 8:00am


Daily Leadership Training

Every day, athletes work with our leadership experts to learn and explore the 6 leadership principles — wisdom, courage, vision, passion, generosity and trust. Athletes develop first an understanding of the meaning of leadership and how it relates to their athletic performance and their life decisions. They then begin to unlock their own leadership abilities as well as learn various methods and techniques to help themselves and others achieve. Finally, they are given the opportunity to apply this knowledge and awareness on the field and in the locker room. Through a series of mentally and physically challenging tasks and exercises, athletes learn cross-functional teamwork and collaboration, leadership without authority techniques, positive communication, assertive decision-making and more. All training and leadership sessions are led by a specialized team of experts from the private sector and from Chelsea Piers Connecticut.


Camp Features

  • A minimum of two high-tempo soccer-specific training sessions per day
  • Daily off-field leadership training sessions held in both a classroom setting and through our dynamic team building sessions
  • Daily lectures range in topics and are led by leading female business professionals, Women's Sports Physicians, Sports Nutritionists, Sports Psychologists, Former Female Olympic and Professional Athletes, Recruiting specialists, Prep School and College Admissions Officers, Division I and NESCAC head coaches.

Camp Lunch

We provide daily snacks and a healthy lunch to make sure our athletes have enough energy for our rigorous training schedule.

Chelsea Piers Members and/or Current Customers

Please use your current account log-in information to register your children in summer camp. If you do not have this information, please email ols@chelseapiersCT.com to have your username and a temporary password issued via email.


FIRST-TIME CUSTOMERS

When creating a new account, please include all family members, not just those currently enrolling. Once the account is created, the system does not permit customers to add additional submembers themselves. To add sub-members after the fact, please call the Registration Desk at 203.989.1100. DEPOSIT & BALANCE

At the time of registration, a $150 non-refundable deposit is required for each week of camp your child wishes to participate in. On May 1, 2018 all balances will be charged and going forward, all tuition must be paid in full at the time of registration.


CANCELLATION, CREDITS & REFUND POLICIES

Requests for camp cancellations and refunds (not including the non-refundable deposit) will be accepted through June 17. Refunds are not available starting June18. If your camper suffers an injury that prevents them from attending camp, you may submit authorized documentation and apply for a camp credit to camps@chelseapiersCT.com.

Credits will not be issued for absences, lateness, sickness, fatigue or family emergencies.

Members and customers who wish to change camp programs or camp weeks will be accommodated provided there is space available. There is a $25 transfer fee per child.
