Summer Camp Safety-First Commitment
We are committed to keeping kids safe at our summer camps during the COVID-19 pandemic. All operations, from check-in procedures to daily activities have been designed to deliver a safe, fun and healthy experience for our campers, staff and families.
In Summer 2020, we reimagined our Summer Camp for the new normal, implementing health and safety protocols based on guidance specific to the operation of summer camps from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the American Camp Association (ACA) and the CT Office of Early Childhood (OEC). We successfully held summer camps for 1,200 campers following these protocols and as a result, the camp was 100% COVID-free. For 2021 we will continue to follow all guidance from the State on safe operations of camp.
For the health and safety of all campers and staff, we require medical clearances, signed by your health care provider, as well as updated immunization records and authorization for administration of medication forms for all campers prior to their first day of camp.
Food Allergy Policy
Campers with Food Allergies: We partner with families with food allergies to create the safest environment possible. Chelsea Piers is a peanut-aware camp; we do not serve products containing peanuts in our lunches or snacks. Gluten-free options are available upon request.
Campers may bring their own lunch. No nut products are allowed for safety reasons.
Cell Phones & Electronic Devices Policy
Summer camp is about unplugging from the everyday and having fun. To avoid distractions, campers are not permitted to bring cell phones or electronic/web-linked devices to camp.
Please leave cell phones and electronic devices at home. If you have an urgent message for your child, we ask that you call the camp office at 203.989.1100. We will relay any information to your child immediately. Chelsea is not responsible for what happens to any devices if brought to camp.
