Ahmed El Mehelmi

Ahmed, aka Meho, has played squash for over 20 years. A product of the Egyptian Squash powerhouse trained by top coaches and competing with elite players such as Mohamed El Shorbagy and Karim El Gawad, whom both reached Number 1 in the world. Ahmed had a successful junior career, consistently ranking top 4 in Egypt in every junior age group throughout his junior career. He also was part of the national team representing Egypt in the World Junior Open in Zurich. Additionally, Ahmed played in the prestigious and British Junior Open, placing 4th place BU19. He also was the champion in the Arab and African Squash Open.
After his junior career and Meho completed his Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Ahmed decided to pass on his experience as a player to join the professional tour and transitioned to full-time coaching. He coached several nationally ranked top junior players in Egypt. He also was the hitting partner of current Women's World Champion and #1 player in the world - Nour El Sherbini and other top professional players. He moved to the USA in 2014 and, since then, has developed and mentored several top ten nationally ranked US players.
