Matt currently works at Chelsea Piers Connecticut in the Membership Department. Matt was part of the original management team that helped launch the opening of Chelsea Piers Connecticut in July 2012. Prior to Chelsea Piers he was responsible for founding BlueStreak Sports Training, deemed to be one of most prestigious sports training facilities in the U.S. Matt continued on to be the co-founder for Hybrid Hockey, a recruitment and exposure service that prepares players who are looking to expose themselves at the collegiate level.

Prior to BlueStreak, Matt played professional hockey with the Adirondack Ice Hawks of the United Hockey League, the “AA” affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes. Matt was also a first round selection of the Miami Manatees in the inaugural WHA2 season.

Prior to his professional career, Matt graduated from New England College where he received a BA in sports business and management. Matt was a two-sport captain in hockey and lacrosse and helped lead the Pilgrims to three championships in eight seasons, with two finals defeats. Matt was named to both the North-South All-Star team for lacrosse and Division III Senior All-Star team for hockey. He was named CCC Conference player of the year in lacrosse his senior year.

Matt’s passion lies in development of the complete hockey player on and off the ice. Currently 14 of his students have been drafted into the NHL and over 94 Divison I athletes, 17 Professional players, 4 US Olympians and more than 300 prep school players.

In 2010, Matt was named a Master Trainer by Athletic Republic, a distinction that only thirty trainers hold out of the 1,600 in the Athletic Republic network.

Matt currently coaches the Darien Midget Minor team. He also coaches for the Nanooks, a spring hockey program who calls Chelsea Piers home.
