Marianna Linnehan

master Trainer

Marianna is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine and has her Master’s Degree in Physical Education and Health Education, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport and Leisure Management. She is also certified in prenatal, postnatal and integrated stretching through Annette Lang Education Systems.

Marianna has an extensive background in volleyball, both as an athlete and a coach. She played competitively at Eastern Connecticut State University, where she also began her coaching career as an assistant, and is currently the head coach at Westhill High School. During her competitive volleyball career, Marianna was named Little East Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2005 and 2006 and was a two-time First Team All-Little East Performer in 2005 in 2006. She was also named tournament MVP for her team as she helped bring the Warriors to back-to-back Little East titles in 2005 and 2006 and broke Eastern Connecticut’s all-time dig record in only three years.

As a MasterTrainer, Marianna enjoys working with members that are new to the gym and emphasizes the importance of consistency in training in order to build a solid foundation and the confidence to stay committed to their goals. She believes in creating a well-balanced and healthy lifestyle through intense training and proper nutrition.
