At CP Kids, discipline is teaching and a plan for developing character in children, not a means of punishing them. Part of the curriculum is teaching children to develop self-control, teaching them to communicate their feelings, and supporting them as they learn to be a good friend. At CP Kids, we believe that behavior management is teaching children the natural consequences of their actions. When a child does not make a good choice in his/her words or behavior, a teacher talks with the child to figure out what would have been a better choice and how the child can "fix" the situation that he/she has caused. All children benefit from consistency between home and school, and we work with parents to address any behavior that may arise at school.
