MEET OUR LEARNING CENTER STAFF

Meet Fairfield County's finest early childhood teaching staff! Our teachers have advanced degrees in education and a passion for helping your children learn and grow.

Nina Clark Director

Nina went to Sacred Heart University, where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, followed by a Masters of Arts degree in elementary education. While attaining her Masters, she interned and student taught in a K-3 school in Bethel, CT. After that experience, she stayed on to work in that school for two more years. She then worked in the special education department with the Greenwich Public Schools for 2 years. Knowing that she loved early childhood education, she sought out a career in that field. She landed at CP Kids in 2012, its inaugural year, and has been here ever since! She has worked as a lead teacher with both the toddlers and infants, before joining the leadership team in July 2018 as the Assistant Director. Nina's favorite part about teaching is seeing those "a-ha" moments when children learn a new skill or concept. Nina loves to spend time with her family and enjoys reading (preferably, on the beach).

Madeline Kondub Assistant Director

Madeline started at CP Kids in 2017 and has taught in our toddler and preschool classrooms. She started her career in education after graduating from Gettysburg College with her bachelor’s degree. Her time spent at college was filled with pursuing her passion for the love of learning. Little did she know her love of learning would lead her down the path of nurturing and educating young children! Upon graduation, she started working in a private elementary school in Darien, CT. After teaching kindergarten and first grade for four years, she received an opportunity to work at CP Kids. She loves teaching social emotional development and early literacy skills. Madeline is currently the lead teacher in one of our preschool classrooms, as well as our Assistant Director.

Dayanne Quito

Dayanne attended Southern Connecticut State University for her Bachelors in Liberal Studies minoring in Spanish, Sociology and Wellness. She has been working with children for 13 years. Dayanne has worked as a babysitter, camp counselor, teacher’s aid and as an assistant teacher here at CP Kids in 2014. After 2 years as an assistant teacher, Dayanne decided to go back to school and earn her Masters in Education at the University of Bridgeport. Dayanne enjoys teaching because the kids are like little sponges; they learn so much, so fast, and it’s awesome to see them grow!

Gina DeSalvo

Gina has been the lead teacher of the CP Kids infant room since we opened our doors in 2012. She loves to see the babies grow into curious toddlers. She has three wonderful children of her own and is the proud grandmother to Ava, a delight that is the apple of her eye. Gina has been teaching in early childhood for many years, including owning and operating her own licensed home daycare when her children were younger. She cannot express how being part of the lives of many children and their families has enriched her as a person. Watching each child that she has had the pleasure of taking care of blossom into amazing, smart individuals fills her with great happiness and she is proud to know that she was an important part of that process.

Chris Garcia

Chris has a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Connecticut and was a member of the Air National Guard. He has been with CP Kids for over 6 years and is the Multi-Sport Coach for the program. In addition, Chris coaches tennis to children ages 3-10 and leads the Little Athletes Club Camp in the summer. His favorite part of teaching is when kids learn a particular skill, fundamental or concept and begin to use it in everyday play! Chris enjoys bike riding and running, having completed a marathon in Antarctica.

Roselyne Opont

Ms. Roselyne’s, also known as Ms.Rose, love for Early Childhood Education started in 4th grade when her mother took her to the Chester Addison Childcare Learning Center. From that moment her passion for teaching developed. She attended Norwalk Community College and received her Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Next she attended Southern Connecticut State University and studied Sociology. Ms. Rose has been teaching for over 10 years and has been at Chelsea Piers for 3 years. When Ms. Rose is not teaching she enjoys spending time with her loved ones. She also enjoys reading at the beach during the warmer months and by firepit during the colder months.

Maria Frasca

Maria has been teaching at CP Kids for 4 years. She began as an assistant teacher, worked up to co-teacher and is now loving her first year as a lead teacher. Maria has 11 years of experience in Health and Wellness Management, and has been working with kids in some capacity since she was 11 years old. She is the proud mom of Lorelai (4) and Luke (2) and is working toward her Bachelors in Early Childhood Education at Post University. While all of that keeps her busy, she wouldn't change it! Knowing that she is a part of these young lives and helping them to become the best versions of themselves gives Maria the drive to keep pushing forward.

Patty Fusaro

Patty has been with CP Kids for 6 years. She started in the infant room for two years and then became a lead teacher in the toddler class for the past four years. She has been happily married for 25 years and has two wonderful children, a son and a daughter. Patty has many years of experience in the early childhood field. She enjoys watching the children in her class grow and explore their surroundings, entering as young toddlers and developing into unique individuals. Patty’s favorite part of being a toddler teacher is experiencing all the love the children have to offer while learning in a positive atmosphere! Patty enjoys spending quality time with her family and two dogs in addition to hiking, cooking and baking.

Samantha Brace

Sammie went to the University of Connecticut, where she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. She then went on to receive her Master's Degree in Education from the University of Bridgeport. Sammie started working at CP Kids back in 2016, when she assisted in the toddler classrooms before leaving to pursue her degree in education. Now, in 2021, she returns to our program with the knowledge she gained from her degree, along with her hands on experience working in the Darien Public Schools as an intern, student teacher, and long-term substitute. Sammie's favorite part of being a teacher is being able to show her students how to take what is learned in the classroom and apply it to real life situations when they leave our school. She feels like when students are able to connect the learning that takes place here with things they do when they leave, it makes learning more practical and fun! When Sammie is not teaching she loves going for runs, traveling and curling up with a great book.
