Children's Extracurricular Activities | Chelsea Piers Kids Stamford, CT | Chelsea Piers Connecticut | Stamford, CT

With access to Fairfield County's most impressive sports facilities, CP Kids offers unique learning experiences and extracurricular activities. The CP Kids toddler and preschool children participate in a number of extracurricular activities each week. These activities bring them into the Chelsea Piers facility daily as well as allow them to exercise their bodies so that their minds are ready to learn!

Multi-Sport Classes

Little Athletes Multi-Sport programs introduce young athletes to a variety of sports, opening their eyes to the world of athletics. The focus is on fundamentals, body-awareness and coordination. Our experienced instructors use age-appropriate gear and coaching techniques to ensure the best possible experience for your growing athlete. Each CP Kids class attends Multi-Sport class twice/week.

Creative Movement

Young dancers practice skill development, stimulate their imaginations, and explore movement through music in our weekly creative movement class. Children will dance and respond to different types of music and use various materials to support their self-expression. The movement and exercise of dance supports the young child’s core strength and development and builds skills that carry into the classroom learning environment.

Music Class

Taught by Ms. Jordana Lubliner, our weekly music class exposes the CP Kids students to various types of music and instruments. Each class consists of songs that the children can develop their sense of rhythm as they sing and dance. Rhythm and beat are introduced with instruments such as the gathering drum, xylophones, rhythm sticks, and egg shakers. The children will often act out the music using hand movements and whole body movements. While they develop their singing skills in music weekly, they also sing daily in the classroom, supporting their language and creative arts development.

Spanish Class

Our weekly Spanish Class introduces our students to basic Spanish vocabulary and teaches the concept that there are other languages that people communicate by in our world. The children enjoy learning Spanish through fun songs and visuals. Some of the vocabulary that is focused on is colors, animals, foods, months of the year, numbers, and emotions.

All Toddler and Preschool classes receive one semester of age-appropriate Chelsea Piers Gymnastics as part of their school day! Gymnastics helps kids work through gross motor skills, balance and build confidence all while having fun!
