Jim Goodwin

Director of Aquatics

Originally joining the Chelsea Piers Aquatics staff in 2014 as a lifeguard, Goodwin quickly desired to share his gift of teaching and is now coaching the Little Athlete's Program, Stroke Development Program, and the Competitive Prep Teams. Attending the School of Visual Arts studying film editing, his critical eye and attention to detail helps swimmers to develop, refine, and perfect their swimming technique. As a USA certified Swim Coach, a practicing RYT 200 HR yoga teacher, and an accomplished mid-distance runner, Goodwin's promising knowledge of injury prevention, stroke development and the competitive mind makes him a central member of the Chelsea Piers Aquatics team.
