Water Polo

Greenwich Water Polo is a volunteer-based youth athletic organization with nearly 200 House League and Travel Team players who are coached by some of the area's most experienced age group, high school and collegiate coaches.

Splashball (5 - 9 years)

Chelsea Piers Connecticut offers a safe, fun and effective learn-to-play program for budding water polo enthusiasts. Splashball provides children who love being in the water with all the FUN-damentals of water polo while developing the essentials of teamwork and sportsmanship. Click here for details.

House League (8 - 13 years)

The House League is a recreational league that is open to girls and boys between the ages of eight and thirteen. League play emphasizes teaching the fundamental skills of water polo and promoting enthusiasm and love of the game.

Travel Team (10 - 18 years)

The Travel Team programs feature both boys and girls teams for qualified players seeking more practice opportunities and greater competition. With the July 2012 move to Chelsea Piers Connecticut, Greenwich Water Polo is now able to increase practice time for its players and maintain a continuous year-round program for its Travel Teams. Organized by age group - 10 & Under, 12 & Under, 14 & Under, 16 & Under and 18 & Under - the Travel Teams compete in regional and national tournaments all over the United States. The older travel teams also take bi-annual trips to train and compete outside the United States. Most recently, GWP has sent girls and boys teams to Spain and Italy.
